Giancarlo Cauteruccio, regista-scenografo-artista visivo, è noto in Italia e all'estero per la sua particolare poetica basata sul rapporto tra arte e tecnologia. Il suo Teatro di Luce, gli ambienti video, le performances sul paesaggio appartengono ad una sperimentazione avviata fin dalla fine degli anni '70. Sue opere sono state presentate nei maggiori teatri italiani e in capitali quali New York, Mosca, Oslo, Berlino. Negli ultimi anni Cauteruccio si è impegnato su una importante trilogia Beckettiana e sta attualmente lavorando alla preparazione di una trilogia Shakespeariana che si prevede ambientata in luoghi urbani e naturali, essendo il dialogo tra la parola, il corpo e il luogo altro centrale campo di ricerca dell'artista. La sede operativa stabile della sua compagnia teatrale Krypton è la modernissima struttura del Teatro Studio di Scandicci alle porte di Firenze.
A director, set designer, and visual artist, Giancarlo Cauteruccio has become famous in Italy and abroad for his peculiar artistic expressions based on pure art and technology. His Light Theatre, his videos, his performances on the landscape belong to an experimentation he began in the late Seventies. His work has been performed in the most important Italian and foreign theatres in cities such as New York, Moscow, Oslo, and Berlin. Recently Cauteruccio has devoted his research to a Beckett trilogy and is presently working on a Shakespearean trilogy set both in urban and natural settings and centred - as many other of his works - on the relation between words, body and places. His stable theatre company, Krypton, is based at the ultra-modern Teatro Studio in Scandicci, just outside Florence.
