Ha studiato letteratura inglese e spagnola al Trinity College e ha lavorato come insegnante. Con il suo primo romanzo "La metà di niente" ha riscosso un grande successo, per la scrittura vivida e pungente e la realistica rappresentazione psicologica dei personaggi, in particolare della protagonista. Frutto della fiorente narrativa irlandese, ha però un suo stile ben definito, che avvolge il lettore nella storia e lo porta nel cuore dei personaggi.
She studied English and Hispanic literature at Trinity College and worked as a teacher. She had a great success with her first novel called: "In the beginning". The writing, in this book, is vivid and stinging and it gives a realistic psychological presentation of the characters, particularly of the chief one. She has here own definite style even if it comes from the flourishing Irish fiction. Her style wraps the reader in the story and carries him in the heart of the characters.
