Karen Armstrong, scrittrice e giornalista, è stata suora per sette anni. Dopo aver smesso il velo nel 1969, si è laureata a Oxford in Letteratura Moderna ed è stata docente all'Università di Londra. Considerata tra i massimi esperti di questioni religiose in Gran Bretagna e Stati Uniti, attualmente insegna al Leo Baeck College for the Study of Judaism and the Training of Rabbis and Teachers. Nel 1999 ha ricevuto il Muslim Public Affairs Council Media Award.
Karen Armstrong, a writer and journalist, was a nun for seven years. In 1969, after giving up her vows, she graduated in Modern Literature at Oxford and was a Professor at the University of London. Regarded as one of the major experts on religious matters in Great Britain and the USA, she currently teaches at Leo Baeck College for the Study of Judaism and the Training of Rabbis and Teachers. In 1999, she was awarded the Muslim Public Affairs Council Media Award.
