Australiano di Perth, attualmente vive con la moglie e i tre figli in una delle zone meno popolate del paese. Si è fatto conoscere in Italia con il romanzo "Quell'occhio, il cielo", storia familiare di povertà e dolore, e successivamente con "Nel buio dell'inverno" e "Blueback". Ha ricevuto nel suo paese tre premi per i primi libri pubblicati. Ha scritto anche racconti per bambini.
Born in Perth, he now lives in one of the least populated areas of Australia with his wife and three children. He became famous in Italy with his novel "That Eye, The Sky", the sad story of a poverty-stricken family, "In the Winter Dark" and "Blueback" and he was awarded three prizes for these novels. He also writes children stories.
