Chris Haughton è un designer e illustratore irlandese. Ha viaggiato moltissimo, dall'Irlanda alla volta di Stati Uniti, Inghilterra, India e Nepal, ma è a Hong Kong che ha scoperto la sua vera passione: disegnare per i bambini. Lavorando a stretto contatto con i più piccoli ha iniziato a realizzare strani personaggi per poter raccontare loro delle storie e ha collaborato come illustratore con giornali e riviste, pubblicando inoltre sul sito web "vegetablefriedrice.com". Il suo albo d'esordio, "Oh-Oh!", pubblicato nel 2010 e uscito in Italia nel 2012, ha già ricevuto una quindicina di riconoscimenti in diverse nazioni e continenti, tra cui il Premio Dutch Picture Book 2012 come Miglior libro da leggere ad alta voce e il Premio Andersen 2013 come miglior libro 0/6 anni. Attualmente Haughton vive e lavora tra Londra e l'India, e continua a lavorare per diverse testate giornalistiche ("The Guardian", "The Times" e "The Independent").
Chris Haughton is an Irish designer and illustrator. He travelled extensively, from Ireland to the United States, England, Nepal and in Hong Kong he discovered his real passion: drawing for children. Working with children he started to create strange characters and collaborated as an illustrator with papers and magazines. His debut illustration book "Oh-Oh!" published in 2010 and released in Italy in 2012 has already been met with great success and prizes including the Dutch Picture Book Prize 2012 as best book to read aloud and the 2013 Andersen Prize as best book 0/6. Haughton currently lives between London and India and still works for several dailies ("The Guardian", "The Times" and "The Independent").
