Maturità, sincerità, finezza e intelligenza sono le parole più adatte per descrivere il Quatuor Hermès. Tali qualità sono state presto notate da Miguel Da Silva e dai quartetti Ravel e Ysaÿe, maturando appieno sotto la guida di musicisti come Eberhard Feltz, il Quartetto Artemis e i membri del Quartetto Alban Berg. A un anno dalla sua formazione presso il Conservatorio di Lione, il Quatuor Hermès inizia a farsi conoscere aggiudicandosi il primo premio al Concorso Internazionale di Musica da Camera di Lione (2009). Il successo si ripete due anni più tardi al Concorso Internazionale di Ginevra (2011). Al novembre 2012 risale la consacrazione definitiva grazie alla vittoria delle prestigiose Young Concert Artists Auditions di New York. In quella occasione il quartetto è stato invitato a fare il suo debutto al Kennedy Center di Washington e alla Carnegie Hall di New York, dove è stato accolto dal calore del pubblico e da ottime recensioni da parte della critica specializzata. Nel frattempo, la formazione ha continuato a viaggiare attraverso l'Europa, esibendosi al Festival di Lockenhaus, all'Orangerie de Sceaux, ai Festival Radio France Montpellier, 'Musikfestwochen crescendo' di Berlino e in altre rassegne. Durante il Concorso di Ginevra, la fabbrica di orologi Breguet ha offerto loro la possibilità di registrare un primo album (pubblicato nel 2012 con l'etichetta Nascor) in cui interpretano alcune delle più importanti opere di Haydn e Beethoven.
Maturity, sincerity, finesse and intelligence are certainly the most suitable words to describe the Hermès quartet. These qualities, very early noticed by Miguel Da Silva and the Ravel and Ysaÿe quartets, develop and maintain alongside Eberhard Feltz, Artemis Quartet and members of the Alban Berg Quartet. A year after their training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon, the first prize at the International Chamber Music Lyon 2009 reveals them. The charm works again in Geneva (first prize at the International Competition 2011). At the same time, they are laureates of the Maurice Ravel Academy and the Charles Oulmont Foundation. In November 2012, it's the consecration at the prestigious Young Concert Artist Auditions in New York. The four French win one of the first prizes, which opens the doors of the most beautiful american stages. In the meantime, the quartet continues to travel trough Europe. They performed in the Lockenhaus festival, at the Orangerie de Sceaux, Festival Radio France Montpellier or 'Musikfestwochen crescendo' in Berlin. During the Geneva Competition, Breguet Watches awarded them offering the possibility to record a first album (released in November 2012 under the label Nascor), in which they interpret two major works of Haydn and Beethoven.
