Ayelet Gundar-Goshen è una scrittrice e sceneggiatrice israeliana. Si è laureata in Psicologia clinica all'Università di Tel Aviv e ha studiato Cinema alla Sam Spjegel Film School di Gerusalemme. Già redattrice di uno dei principali quotidiani israeliani, è attivista del movimento per i diritti civili del suo paese. Ha scritto racconti e sceneggiature che hanno riscosso diversi riconoscimenti internazionali, debuttando come romanziera nel 2012 con "Una notte soltanto, Markovitch", una storia agrodolce di ossessioni amorose e attrazioni non corrisposte in cui l'umorismo è uno strumento efficace per scavare dietro il mito dello stato d'Israele. Nel 2014 ha firmato il suo secondo romanzo, "Svegliare i leoni", un thriller teso e incalzante in cui il crimine taciuto di Eitan Green, un neurochirurgo di Beer Sheva che una notte investe con la sua jeep un migrante clandestino senza prestargli soccorso, è accompagnato da uno sguardo implacabile sugli angoli più oscuri dell'animo umano.
Ayelet Gundar-Goshen is an Israeli author and screenwriter. She graduated in clinical psychology from the University of Tel Aviv and went on to study cinema at the Sam Spjegel Film School in Jerusalem. A former editor of two major Israeli daily newspapers, she is a leading civil rights activist in her country. She has written short stories and scripts which have won several international awards, debuting as a novelist in 2012 with "One Night, Markovitch", a bittersweet story about unrequited obsessions, love and attraction, using humour as an effective tool to dig behind the myth of the state of Israel. 2014 saw the release of her second novel, Waking Lions", a tense thriller where a hidden crime by Eitan Green, a neurosurgeon from Beer Sheva who knocks down a clandestine migrant with his Jeep without stopping to help, is accompanied by a relentless look into the darkest corners of the human soul.
