Museo Tazio Nuvolari

Inaugurato nell'autunno del 1985 nell'antico Palazzo del Podestà, nel cuore del centro storico di Mantova, il Museo Tazio Nuvolari documenta la vita e le imprese sportive di uno dei più grandi piloti automobilistici di tutti i tempi. Oltre alle numerose fotografie che ripercorrono la vita privata e la leggendaria carriera di Nuvolari il Museo ospita numerosi cimeli, illustrazioni, dipinti, documenti e trofei del campione mantovano ordinati cronologicamente, tra cui l'Alfa Romeo SC 2300 con cui Nuvolari vinse il Gran Premio di Monaco nel 1932.
Oggi il Museo Nuvolari ha cambiato sede, e dopo una breve permanenza all'interno del Palazzo Ducale, negli ambienti un tempo occupati dal Museo del Risorgimento, è ospitato dall'aprile del 2012 nell'ex Chiesa del Carmelino, all'angolo tra via Giulio Romano e via Nazario Sauro.
Inaugurated in the autumn of 1985 in the ancient Palazzo del Podesta, in the historical heart of Mantova, the Nuvolari Museum reports the life and sport-venture of one of the major car-race pilot of all times.
Together with the many photographs, which witness part of his private life as well as his legendary career, you also find mementos of his achievements, illustrations, paintings, and trophies of the Mantua-born champion, among which there is an Alfa Romeo SC2300, with which he won the Grand Prix of Monaco, 1932. The Nuvolari Museum has recently moved from the Palazzo del Podestà and it is now hosted inside Palazzo Ducale, where you used to find the Risorgimento Museum.
