STORIES THAT MUST BE TOLD
2015_09_10_ACC1100
Using varied texts, from Sophocles through Wole Soyinka to his own work, Okey Ndibe will discuss the personal and social costs of silence in the face of ethical situations that demand speech. The talk will focus on how stories reinforce memory, and how silence can, and does, diminish what is most vitally human about us.
