MY LOVE AFFAIR WITH THE PIANO

2017_09_08_120
Often a writer's words have a musicality that can lead the flow of the plot to a particular musical genre. Some authors write with a sound similar to that of classical music whereas others use syncopated rhythms like that of jazz. Sometimes, however, music enters physically in literature, and it becomes almost like the scenery to the story: Richard Mason likes to write alongside the seven notes of the scale in order to create an atmosphere for the most important scenes in his novels. During his event, assisted by a piano, he will play a selection of his favourite pieces (Chopin Nocturnes, Schubert Impromptus, Mozart Sonatas), explaining the role they play in the life of his characters and - more deeply - in his own.
