Michael Chabon è considerato, nonostante la giovane età, uno dei più grandi maestri della letteratura contemporanea. Esordì nel 1988, quando ancora frequentava l'università, con "I misteri di Pitsburgh", che ottenne subito un enorme successo mondiale e proseguì con "Wonder Boys", romanzo che racconta con finezza e umorismo la storia - autobiografica e tragicomica - di uno scrittore che non riesce a concludere il suo monumentale romanzo. Chabon ha pubblicato anche due raccolte di racconti ("Un mondo modello" e "La giovinezza dei lupi mannari") comparsi in origine su riviste quali il "New Yorker", "Harper's", "Esquire", "Playboy". Chabon vive a Berkley con la moglie avvocato e scrittrice di thriller e i quattro figli.
Michael Chabon is considered, despite his young age, one of the greatest masters of contemporary literature. He made his debut in 1988, while he was still studying at university, with "The Mysteries of Pittsburgh", which immediately obtained an enormous success worldwide. He then continued with "Wonder Boys", a novel that tells, gently and humorously, the autobiographical and tragicomic story of a writer who cannot finish his "huge" novel. Chabon also published two collections of novels ("A Model World & Other Stories" and "Werewolves in Their Youth. Stories") which originally had appeared on magazines such as "New Yorker", "Harper's", "Esquire", "Playboy". Chabon currently lives in Berkley with his wife, who is a lawyer as well as a thriller writer, and their four children.
