Jonathan Franzen vive oggi a New York. E' considerato uno dei maggiori romanzieri americani. Pubblica regolarmente racconti e saggi su "The New Yorker" e su "Harper's", di cui è redattore. Ha studiato al Swarthmore College, alla Freie Universität di Berlino e poi ha lavorato per un laboratorio di sismologia alla Harvard University. Ha vinto il Whiting Writer's Award nel 1998, l'American Academy's Berlin Prize nel 2000, ed è stato annoverato tra i venti scrittori del ventunesimo secolo dal "The New Yorker" e uno dei Best Young American Novelists da "Granta".
Jonathan Franzen currently lives in New York. He is considered one of the most important American novelists. He regularly writes short stories and essays in "The New Yorker" and in "Harper's", for which he is the editor. He studied at Swarthmore College, at the Freie Universität in Berlin and then worked for a seismology laboratory at Harvard University. He won the Whiting Writer's Award in 1998, the American Academy's Berlin Prize in 2000 and he has been included amongst the twenty most important writers of the 21st century by "The New Yorker" and one of the Best Young American Novelists by "Granta".
