Siri Hustvedt è nata nel Minnesota da madre norvegese e padre americano, e vive a New York con il marito, Paul Auster, e due figli. Alcuni suoi lavori, soprattutto poesie, sono stati pubblicati in riviste letterarie, quali "The Paris Review" e "Fiction". "La benda sugli occhi", il suo primo romanzo, è stato tradotto in diverse lingue ed è stato selezionato tra i The best american short stories. Siri Hustvedt è inoltre autrice di un volume di poesie e del romanzo "The Enchantment of Lily Dahl". Il suo romanzo, "Quello che ho amato", un best seller internazionale, racconta la storia di due amici, Leo e Bill, che vivono a New York. Siri Hustvedt was born in Minnesota from a Norwegian mother and an American father, and lives in New York with her husband, Paul Auster, and their two children. Some of her works, mainly poems, have been published in literary magazines such as "The Paris Review" and "Fiction". Her first novel "The Blindfold", has been translated into eight languages and has been selected amongst the "best American short stories". Siri Hustvedt is also the author of a volume of poems and of the novel "The Enchantment of Lily Dahl". Her novel "What I loved", an international best seller, tells the story of two friends, Leo and Bill, who live in New York. Through the events of their marriages, children, success, tragedies, friendship and feelings, Siri Hustvedt seems to want to answer the question: «How do we become what we are?».
