Yirmi Pinkus, nato a Tel Aviv nel 1966, è uno scrittore israeliano. Dopo essersi laureato a Gerusalemme ha iniziato a collaborare con Rutu Mondan, una famosa illustratrice di fumetti israeliana, sul magazine "MAD". Nel 1995 ha fondato l'Actus Tragicus Comics Group, un collettivo di artisti grafici che ha raggiunto presto la notorietà. Nel 1996 Pinkus si è trasferito a vivere a Berlino e nel 2001 ha iniziato a collaborare con il quotidiano "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung". Nel 2004 è stato premiato dal Ministero dell'Istruzione tedesco con l'Award of Design. Attualmente dirige gli Illustration Studies al Vital, il Tel Aviv Center for Design Studies. "Il folle cabaret del professor Fabrikant" è il suo primo romanzo.
Born in Tel Aviv in 1966, Yirmi Pinkus is an Israeli writer. After graduating in Jerusalem, he started his collaboration with Mondan, a famous Israeli comics illustrator, on the magazine "MAD". In 1995 he founded Actus Tragicus Comics Group, a group of graphic artists which in a short time became well-known. In 1996 Pinkus moved to Berlin and 2001 he started his collaboration with the daily "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung". In 2004 , he received the Award of Design from the German Ministry of Education. He is now the director of Illustration Studies al Vital at Tel Aviv Center for Design Studies. "Il folle cabaret del professor Fabrikant" is his first novel.
