Yehoshua Kenaz, nato in Israele nel 1937, è uno dei maggiori romanzieri israeliani. Traduttore dal francese, ha lavorato per il giornale "Haaretz". Ha studiato filosofia e lingue e romanze presso la Hebrew University, e letteratura francese alla Sorbona. Ha scritto la sua prima storia a Parigi e l'ha poi inviata alla rivista "Keshet" con il nome di Avi Otniel. È divenuto famoso in Israele nel 1986, quando il suo romanzo "Infiltrazione" (Itganvut iechidim) iniziò a essere considerato un best seller. Yeoshua Kenaz, born in Israel in 1937, is one of Israel's most important novelists. He is a translator from French and works for the newspaper "Haaretz". He studyed Philosophy and Romanic Languages at the Hebrew University, and French Literature at the Sorbonne. He wrote his first story in Paris and then sent it to the magazine "Keshet" under the name of Avi Otniel. In 1986 he became famous in Israel, when his novel "Infiltration" turned into a best seller. He was awarded the Alterman Prize in 1991, the Newman Prize in 1992, and the prestigiuous Bialik Akuma Prize in 1994 and 1995.
