Kim Edwards è una scrittrice statunitense nata in Texas nel 1958. Docente di Letteratura inglese all'Università del Kentucky, ha raggiunto la notorietà nel 2006 con il suo primo romanzo, "Figlia del silenzio", comparso nella lista dei best-seller del "New York Times" e vincitore nel 2008 del Popular Fiction Award e del British Book Award. Nel 1997 ha scritto la raccolta di racconti, "The secrets of the fire King", con la quale ha vinto premi prestigiosi tra cui il Whiting Award e il Nelson Algren Award. In Italia i suoi romanzi sono editi da Garzanti.
Kim Edwards is a US American writer born in Texas in 1958. A professor of English Literature at Kentucky University, she became famous in 2006 with her first novel "The Memory Keeper's Daughter", appearing in the "New York Times" best-selling books list, won the 2008 Popular Fiction Award and British Book Award. In 1997 she wrote the collection of stories "The Secrets of the Fire King", obtaining prestigious prizes such as the Whiting Award and the Nelson Algren Award. In Italy her novenls are published by Garzanti.
