Dopo la laurea e il dottorato di ricerca in Iberistica, nel 1995 ha cominciato a lavorare come redattrice esterna e traduttrice. Attualmente insegna traduzione all'Università di Pisa. Ha tradotto, tra gli altri, Arturo Pérez Reverte, Almudena Grandes, Paco Ignacio Taibo II, Ildefonso Falcones, Padura Fuentes, Elsa Osorio, Lucía Extebarría, Patricio Pron, Ángela Vallvey, Rivera Letelier, e curato edizioni di poesie di Lorca e Neruda. Nel tempo libero corre e va in bicicletta, frequenta sale cinematografiche, mostre e teatri, scopre nuovi talenti della canzone d'autore e porta a spasso amici e cani. Ama la birra e il muesli e sogna di aprire un allevamento di parrocchetti e altri pennuti.
After graduating and obtaining a PhD in Spanish studies, in 1995 she started working as a freelance editor and translator. She currently teaches translation at Pisa University. She has translated the work of Arturo Pérez Reverte, Almudena Grandes, Paco Ignacio Taibo II, Ildefonso Falcones, Padura Fuentes, Elsa Osorio, Lucía Extebarría, Patricio Pron, Ángela Vallvey, Rivera Letelier and many others. In her spare time she enjoys cycling and jogging, going to the cinema and walking with friends and her dogs. She loves beer and muesli and dreams breeding parakeets and other birds.
