Amedeo D'Adamo insegna Produzione e Regia video cinematografica presso l'Università Cattolica di Brescia e l'Università della Svizzera Italiana di Lugano. La sua opera pubblicistica include saggi sulla fantascienza, post-scarsità, David Bowie, Dante e Tolstoj. Ha scritto e, con la moglie Nevina Satta, co-diretto e co-prodotto il film "L'albero di Ghibet", patrocinato dall'UNICEF", che è stato presentato in molti festival internazionali tra cui Roma '08, Miami '08, Austin '08 e Torino '07; insieme i due hanno dato vita a un Producing Lab universitario al Festival di Locarno. Un rough-cut del suo documentario sul regista Alessandro Blasetti (il padre del neorealismo) è stato presentato in anteprima a 'Il Cinema Ritrovato 2012' promosso dalla Cineteca di Bologna, dove D'Adamo ha anche presentato il prototipo di una cinepresa ideata da Blasetti nel 1928 e a oggi mai realizzata. È stato direttore scientifico di 'Puglia Experience', un innovativo programma di fellowship per scritture cinematografiche rivolto a sceneggiatori professionisti e produttori finanziato dall'UE. Decano fondatore della Los Angeles Film School, ha conseguito un MFA in Scrittura e Regia alla Columbia University.
Amedeo D'Adamo currently teaches film at the Università Cattolica, Italy and the Università Della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano Switzerland. His published work includes essays on Science Fiction, Post- Scarcity, David Bowie, Dante and Tolstoy. He wrote and, with his wife Nevina Satta, co-directed and co-produced the UNICEF-endorsed feature The Tree Of Ghibet, which played at many international film festivals including Rome '08, Miami '08, Austin '08 and Torino '07; together they created and ran the University Producing Lab at the Locarno Film Festival. A rough-cut of his documentary on the filmmaker Alessandro Blasetti (the father of Neo-Realism) premiered at the Bologna Cineteca's 2012 film festival, where he also presented the prototype of a camera he built from a revolutionary design created by Blasetti in 1928 that has until now never been realized. Amedeo was the Scientific Director of the Apulian Experience, an innovative EU-funded story-creation fellowship program for professional screenwriters and producers. The founding dean of the Los Angeles Film School, he holds an MFA in Screenwriting and Directing from Columbia University.
