Silvia Sichel si è laureata in Lingue alla Statale di Milano. Da allora ha sempre tradotto, prima come interprete nella Russia sovietica e poi come traduttrice letteraria, attività che svolge da vent'anni e vorrebbe svolgere per altri venti. Fra i suoi ultimi autori: José C. Vales, Clara Usón e Andrés Neuman. Ha una lunga esperienza come redattrice esterna e lettrice editoriale. Tiene laboratori di traduzione letteraria all'Instituto Cervantes di Milano. Sul blog del circolo di lettura del Cervantes cura la rubrica "Medir las palabras". È esaminatore DELE e insegna lingua russa e spagnola al CPIA di Parma, città in cui vive.
Silvia Sichel graduated in languages from the Statale di Milano.
