Sotterraneo
Sotterraneo è un collettivo di ricerca teatrale fondato a Firenze nel 2004 da Sara Bonaventura, Iacopo Braca, Matteo Ceccarelli e Claudio Cirri, ai quali si unisce in seguito Daniele Villa. La compagnia esordisce con lo spettacolo 11/10 in apnea e, negli anni successivi, realizza numerose altre produzioni. Nel 2009 riceve il Premio "Lo Straniero" e il Premio Ubu Speciale, nel 2010 l'Hystrio-Castel dei Mondi, nel 2011 il Silver Laurel Wreath Award al Mess Festival di Sarajevo per Dies irae, nel 2012 l'Eolo Award come miglior novità per La Repubblica dei bambini, nonché l'ACT Festival Prize e il Be Festival 1st Prize al Be Festival di Birmingham per Homo ridens, mentre nel 2016 vince il Best of Be Tour sempre al Be Festival. Nel 2012 il collettivo viene scelto dal prestigioso Rossini Opera Festival di Pesaro per dirigere Il signor Bruschino di Gioachino Rossini. Al 2013 risale l'avvio di un percorso di ricerca biennale denominato Daimon Project, composto dallo spettacolo Be Normal!, dal progetto seriale Be Legend! e dal workshop Be ready!. Nel 2014 cura la regia di War Now! assieme al regista lettone Valters Silis. Tra i lavori del collettivo vanno senz'altro annoverati anche Il giro del mondo in 80 giorni (2015), uno spettacolo itinerante basato sul romanzo di Jules Verne, e Overload (2016), ispirato dalla scrittura di David Foster Wallace. Sotterraneo si occupa anche di formazione teatrale, curando progetti laboratoriali per Comune di Firenze, Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo, Centrale Fies, Amat, Irigem, Fanny & Alexander, Laboratorio Nove, Università degli Studi di Firenze, Associazione Teatrale Pistoiese, Theatre of Europe.

After the debut with "11/10 in apnea", in the following years they produced "Post-it" (2007), "La Cosa 1" (2008), the diptych on species made up of "Dies irae. 5 episodi intorno alla fine della specie" (2009) and "L'origine delle specie da Charles Darwin" (2010), "La Repubblica dei bambini" (2011) and "Homo ridens" (2011). In 2009, they were awarded the 'Lo Straniero' and the Ubu Speciale awards, in 2010 the Hystrio-Castel dei Mondi, in 2011 the Silver Laurel Wreath Award at the Mess Festival, Sarajevo for "Dies irae", in 2012 the Eolo Award for "La Repubblica dei bambini", as well as the ACT Festival Prize and the Be Festival 1st Prize at the Be Festival, Birmingham forer "Homo ridens". In 2012, they directed "Il Signor Bruschino" by Gioachino Rossini for the Rossini Opera Festival. In 2013, they carried out a two-year research project called "Daimon Project", made up of the show "Be Normal!", the serial project "Be Legend!" and the workshop "Be ready!". In 2014, the directed "War Now!" together with the Latvian director Valters Silis. Among their most recent works was "Around The World in 80 Days" (2015), show based on the novel by Jules Verne, and "Overload" (2016). Since 2013, Sotterraneo is the resident company at the Associazione Teatrale Pistoiese.
