Florence, Peter
Nato nel 1964, lettore, scrittore e organizzatore di festival culturali, ha fondato e diretto l'Hay Festival, il più famoso festival della letteratura britannico. Ha studiato all'Università di Parigi e ha conseguito un Master in Letteratura medievale e moderna. Per il suo impegno nella diffusione della cultura gli sono state assegnate due lauree honoris causa dalla Open University e dalla University of Glamorgan.

Peter Florence is the director of the Hay Festival, the most famous British literary festival which he founded in 1988. He studied at Paris University and obtained a Master's Degree in Medieval and Modern Literature. He has also been awarded two honorary degrees from The Open University and the University of Glamorgan for his commitment to cultural dissemination. He is a member of the Hereford College of Arts and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Over the years he has adapted the Hay Festival model to create a network of cultural events in cities all over the world including Segovia, Cartagena, Nairobi, Dhaka, Xalapa, Belfast, Bogotà, Toronto, Istanbul and Beirut.
