La Banda Città di Mantova ha alle sue spalle un'attività quasi trentennale. Nel 2000 ha tenuto concerti a Weingarten (città gemellata con Mantova dove è tornata nel 2003 e nel 2006) e a Monaco di Baviera. Nel 2006 si è esibita con David Riondino e Patrizio Roversi per la presentazione del testo "Jolanda la figlia del Corsaro Nero", oltre che con la Fanfara di Tirana, collaborando al CD di quest'ultima. Nel 2007 ha inciso "Venticinquesimo", CD commemorativo del suo primo quarto di secolo di vita. All'interno dell'edizione 2008 di Festivaletteratura la Banda ha preso parte a uno spettacolo incentrato sulla figura di Garibaldi, ancora una volta con la preziosa collaborazione di David Riondino. Nel 2009 si è esibita a luglio con Roy Paci e a Natale nel tradizionale concerto al Teatro Ariston insieme al jazzista mantovano Mauro Negri. Nel 2010 ha intrapreso un nuovo percorso nel proprio repertorio incentrandolo su una forma peculiare per la sua formazione: la marcia. È stata presente alla manifestazione per la festa del Corpo della Guardia di Finanza e ha aperto le manifestazioni dei Campionati Mondiali di Pesca Sportiva. Il 2011 vede la Banda impegnata durante tutto il corso dell'anno alla realizzazione delle celebrazioni per il 150° dell'Unità d'Italia. Nel 2013, in occasione del centenario dalla nascita del musicista mantovano Gorni Kramer, la Banda mette a punto un nuovo repertorio incentrato sulle sue musiche.
The Banda Città di Mantova can look back on an acivity of almost 30 years. In 2000 it gave concerts in Weingarten, Mantua's twin town, where it returned also in 2003 and 2006, and in Munich. The band took part in many theatrical productions: "Il Pescecane" in 2004, by the company La Fortezza at the Teatro Sociale of Mantua; in 2006 it performed with David Riondino and Patrizio Roversi the text "Jolanda la figlia del Corsaro Nero" by Emilio Salgari. In 2006 it performed with the Fanfare of Tirana, also collaborating on their CD. In 2007 for the 25th anniversary a memorial CD is recorded. As a part of the 2008 edition of Festivaletteratura the band collaborates in a performance on the figure of Garibaldi, again with David Riondino. In the summer of 2009 the band performs with Roy Paci and partakes in the traditional Christmas concert of the Mantuan jazz musician Mauro Negri at the Teatro Ariston. In 2010 the band took a new direction regarding its repertory, foculizing on a style tipical for its formation: the march. It was present at the celebration of the customs officers and opened the festivities for the world championship in sport fishing. In 2011 the band is busy all year long with the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Italy's unification. In 2013 a new repertory is made in order to celebrate the Mantuan musician Gorni Kramer in the centenary of his birth.
