La carriera artistica di Chiara Guidi si sviluppa dal 1981 nell'ambito della Sociètas Raffaello Sanzio, una delle compagnie più rappresentative e premiate del teatro italiano ed europeo d'avanguardia, da lei fondata a Cesena insieme a Romeo e Claudia Castellucci. La sua ricerca teatrale è segnata da un'attenzione particolare alla voce e alla parola recitata: ciò le consente di sperimentare molteplici registri vocali e di portare in scena insieme ai sodali opere di teatro musicale e capolavori del teatro per l'infanzia come Buchettino (1995), pièce fiabesca che ha percorso il mondo affascinando bambini di tutti i continenti. Nel 1999 ha inizio la collaborazione con il compositore statunitense Scott Gibbons, insieme al quale ha fondato per alcuni anni un laboratorio permanente di composizione sonora e vocale e condotto diversi workshop. In virtù del suo impegno nell'ambito del teatro per l'infanzia riceve nel 1998 il Premio Speciale Ubu per la Scuola Sperimentale di Teatro Infantile; nel 2013 il Premio al Maestro, il Premio Nico Garrone e un altro Premio Speciale Ubu per i festival Màntica e Puerilia; nel 2016 il Premio "Lo Straniero". Tra gli spettacoli degli ultimi anni spiccano Lettere dalla notte, liberamente tratto dai testi di Nelly Sachs; Nuvole. Casa. e Ritornare! In Italia!, riletture di alcune opere maestre della poetessa Elfriede Jelinek; Pentesilea; Esercizi per voce e violoncello sulla Divina Commedia di Dante. Suoi anche i libri La voce in una foresta di immagini invisibili (2017), Teatro infantile (2019, con Lucia Amara) e Interrogare e leggere (2021).

Chiara Guidi's artistic career has developed since 1981 as part of the Sociètas Raffaello Sanzio, one of the most representative and prized Italian and European avant-garde theatre companies, which she founded in Cesena along with Romeo and Claudia Castellucci. Her work in theatre is marked by a focus on vocals and spoken word recitals: this allows her to experiment with various local registers and bring to the stage masterpieces of musical theatre and theatre for children such as "Buchettino" (1995), a fairytale-like play that has travelled the world entrancing children from all continents. In 1999, she began a fruitful working partnership with the American composer Scott Gibbons, with whom she established a permanent lab of sound and vocal composition, as well as conducting several workshops. Since 2008, she has directed the Màntica festival at the Teatro Comandini in Cesena. In light of her work and commitment to children's theatre, in 1998 she was awarded the Premio Speciale Ubu per la Scuola Sperimentale di Teatro Infantile; in 2013, the Premio al Maestro, the Premio Nico Garrone and another Premio Speciale UBU for the Màntica and Puerilia festivals. Her most recent shows include "Poco lontano da qui" (2012), "Tifone" (2013) and "Macbeth su Macbeth su Macbeth" (2014). As part of the Festival Focus Jelinek, she has read and interpreted some masterpieces written by the Austrian point and dramatist, such as "Nuvole. Casa." and "Ritornare! In Italia!". recently she has ventured into the theatrical project overseen by Elena Di Gioia and the Associazione Liberty "Lettere dalla notte", centered on the figure of Nelly Sachs.(photo: Sociètas Raffaello Sanzio)
